Zoom Video Conferencing app is in Limelight these days and is attracted by vast number of users. Due to the COVID-19 lock down in multiple nations the corporate use of Zoom has seen an explosive growth. Now this surge has lead to multiple security concerns about the product. Considering the security vulnerabilities Google has now asked its employees not to install Zoom on their Corporate Network.

“We have long had a policy of not allowing employees to use unapproved apps for work that are outside of our corporate network,” Jose Castaneda, a Google spokesperson, told BuzzFeed News. “Recently, our security team informed employees using Zoom Desktop Client that it will no longer run on corporate computers as it does not meet our security standards for apps used by our employees. Employees who have been using Zoom to stay in touch with family and friends can continue to do so through a web browser or via mobile.”

Google isn’t the first company to ban employees from using Zoom. Earlier this month, Elon Musk’s rocket company SpaceX also banned employees, citing “significant privacy and security concerns”.
